January 27, 2017 — Lindenlink’s new look has attracted mostly positive results (from the feedback I’ve gotten), but we need to continue to focus on loading up on content, especially timely content and multimedia content.
For example, we served our readers well when we posted the update on the sexual assault investigation, and we got a spike in clicks from that, too. It leaves me with a question, though. When we have an update on a story, should that story be a separate post — as was the case here — or should we put the update on top of the old story and mark it as an update? I tend to lean toward the update notion because (1) it doesn’t require the writer to type in background on the story, and (2) readers can see that we are, indeed, keeping up on a story. Other thoughts?
